The RTS Index lost a further 2.2% on Thursday-Friday, which were the only proper working days last week (the previous three days were national holidays, and trading on the working Saturday was insignificant). Local shares replicated negative global reaction to the results of presidential elections in France and parliamentary elections in Greece, and dividend record dates for Gazprom, MTS and Lukoil exerted more downward pressure. However, the Russian market showed little reaction to a surprise $2b loss by JPMorgan on derivatives, which mainly affected US banks.
